Organic Cypress Essential Oil
Are you looking for an essential oil with a dry, fresh woody-coniferous scent, rich in alpha-pinene, derived from the iconic Mediterranean tree, for atmospheric diffusion and cosmetic drainage preparations? Herbes et Traditions Organic Cypress EO (Cupressus sempervirens) is distilled from the twigs and needles of the common cypress. Dominated by alpha-pinene (40-65%) and sesquiterpenes (cedrol, delta-3-carene), it releases a very characteristic dry, woody, and coniferous fragrance. 10ml. Ecocert organic certified.
Aromatic and cosmetic profile
- Rich in alpha-pinene (40-65%): the dominant monoterpene with the woody aromatic properties characteristic of all conifers.
- Dry woody and coniferous scent: fresh, clean, and evocative of Mediterranean cypress forests. Highly appreciated in diffusion for a fresh and tonic atmosphere.
- Cedrol (sesquiterpene): a deep woody note that rounds out the aromatic profile and contributes to the cypress's unique olfactory signature.
- 10ml: Organic Ecocert. Herbes et Traditions.

FAQ
What is the difference between cypress and Scots pine in diffusion?
Cypress is drier and woodier, with a Mediterranean dry-resinous note. Scots pine is fresher and more resinous-forest like. Combined, they create a complete, highly appreciated forest accord.
Can cypress be diffused in all seasons?
Yes, but it is particularly appreciated in autumn and winter for its woody and warming note. In summer, combine it with fresher notes (lemon, mint) to balance it.
Is cypress useful in cosmetic preparations for legs?
Yes, cypress is a classic essential oil for heavy leg preparations, diluted in a carrier oil and applied via upward massage.
