FAQ
Is frankincense EO the same thing as stick incense or raw resin?
No. Stick incense is often a mixture of resins, woods, and synthetic additives. Raw frankincense resin is the dried sap of the Boswellia tree. Frankincense EO is the distilled volatile fraction of this resin: purer, smoke-free, and concentrated in active ingredients.
What is the difference between Boswellia carterii and Boswellia sacra?
Two species of the Boswellia genus with slightly different profiles. Carterii (Somalia, Ethiopia) is the most common. Sacra (Oman) is considered the finest and most precious. Both are excellent. Check the species on the label.
Which EOs blend well with frankincense in diffusion?
Sandalwood, myrrh, patchouli, vetiver, and rose form exquisite sacred and meditative accords with frankincense.
