Organic Arnica Oil Macerate
Are you looking for the gold standard oil macerate for post-workout care, bruises, and stressed muscle areas, made by macerating arnica flowers in an organic vegetable oil, for sports massage and recovery preparations? Herbes et Traditions Organic Arnica Oil Macerate (Arnica montana) is obtained by macerating dried arnica flowers in an organic vegetable oil (typically sunflower or olive). Rich in helenalin, flavonoids, and carotenoids from arnica, it is the benchmark macerate for natural sports cosmetics. 50ml. Organic Ecocert.
Cosmetic profile and properties
- Arnica macerate: flower actives in a carrier oil: macerating arnica flowers in a carrier oil transfers the plant's fat-soluble molecules (carotenoids, flavonoids, helenalin) into the oil. This is very different from a pure carrier oil — it is a complete botanical active.
- The cosmetic gold standard for post-workout care: used for centuries in traditional sports cosmetics for massages after bruising, intense exertion, or minor impact.
- Characteristic yellow-orange color: due to the carotenoids in the arnica flower. An intense color is often an indicator of good maceration.
- Natural sports massage base: used directly for massage or as a base to which massage essential oils (wintergreen, tropical basil, camphor rosemary) can be added.
- 50ml: Organic Ecocert. Herbes et Traditions.

FAQ
What is the difference between arnica macerate and commercial arnica gel?
Commercial arnica gel is generally a water-based formula (water + gelling agent) with diluted arnica extract and often preservatives. Oil macerate is a completely natural, lipophilic product, with no water or preservatives, and is more concentrated in the plant's fat-soluble actives. Both have similar uses but very different formulations.
Can arnica macerate be applied to a recent hematoma?
Yes, on intact skin only. Never apply to a cut, scrape, or wound, even a superficial one. If in doubt about skin integrity, do not apply.
Does arnica macerate stain clothes?
Yes, the yellow-orange color of the carotenoids can stain light-colored fabrics. It is best to apply it in the evening or protect clothing after application.
