Organic Rosehip Oil
Rosehip oil is one of the most highly prized vegetable oils in natural cosmetics for anti-aging care and reducing the appearance of scars. Extracted by cold-pressing the seeds of Rosa rubiginosa, it owes its regenerative properties to its exceptional richness in linoleic acid (omega-6, 40-50%) and alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3, 30-40%), two essential fatty acids rarely found together in such proportions in a vegetable oil. 100ml. Organic Ecocert. Herbes et Traditions.
Cosmetic profile and properties
- Very rich in omega-6 and omega-3 (essential fatty acids): rosehip is one of the very few vegetable oils to combine a high content of linoleic (40-50%) and alpha-linolenic (30-40%) acids. These two essential fatty acids play a central role in skin cell regeneration and the integrity of the hydrolipidic barrier.
- Anti-aging and regenerating facial care: used as an evening treatment for mature, dull skin marked by the passage of time. Combine with argan or jojoba oil to lighten the texture and promote absorption.
- Scar and stretch mark care: its richness in polyunsaturated fatty acids makes it the natural gold standard for treating recent scars, stretch marks, and skin blemishes.
- Natural rosy color: high-quality rosehip oil has a rosy-orange hue due to the carotenoids naturally present in the seeds. A completely colorless oil has been refined.
- Absorbent texture, but use in moderation: rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids, it absorbs easily but may leave a slight film on very oily skin. Ideal for evening care.
- 100ml: Organic Ecocert. Herbes et Traditions.

How to use this vegetable oil?
Anti-aging facial care: 3 to 5 drops, pure or mixed with argan oil (50/50), as an evening treatment. Apply to clean skin with a gentle circular massage.
Scar and stretch mark care: massage pure onto the affected area, twice daily for several weeks to observe progressive effects.
Essential Oil (EO) blend: an ideal base for regenerative EOs (helichrysum, carrot, cistus) for anti-aging facial care.
Eye contour care: use 1 drop on your fingertip, patting delicately around the contour while avoiding any direct contact with the eye.
Precautions
- For external use only
- Store away from heat and light (rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids, it oxidizes faster than saturated vegetable oils)
- Test on a small area before initial use
- Keep out of reach of children
FAQ
How long before seeing results on scars?
Results on scars and stretch marks are progressive. Most users notice an improvement in skin appearance after 4 to 8 weeks of regular application twice a day. Consistency is key.
Can rosehip oil be used in the morning?
Yes, but its richness in polyunsaturated fatty acids may leave a slight film on some skin types. For the morning, mix 30% with jojoba oil to lighten the texture. Evening remains the ideal time for more nourishing treatments.
What is the difference between rosehip oil and rose oil?
These are two very different products. Rosehip oil is a vegetable oil pressed from the seeds of Rosa rubiginosa, with no rose scent. Rose essential oil (Rosa damascena or centifolia) is distilled from the petals, has an intense floral fragrance, and is much more expensive. They have distinct cosmetic uses.
