Why a specific shampoo for colored hair?
Oxidative coloring alters the structure of the hair cuticle and damages the disulfide bonds of keratin, making the fiber more porous and permeable. An ordinary shampoo with a neutral or alkaline pH further opens the cuticle and accelerates the diffusion of color pigments out of the fiber. This shampoo uses acidic pH surfactants (lauryl glucoside, lauramidopropyl betaine) that respect the cuticle by keeping it closed, limiting pigment loss. Willow extract (Salix alba, rich in salicylate) forms a protective film on the cuticle that filters the UV rays responsible for oxidation and color fading. Rice Phyto-Keratin restructures weakened keratin zones to reduce porosity and retain color longer.
