Vit'all+ Fisetin
Discover one of the most studied flavonoids for cellular longevity with Vit'all+ Fisetin 100mg: an extract of smoke tree (Cotinus coggygria) standardized to 80% fisetin, obtained by aqueous extraction without chemical solvents. 100mg of pure fisetin per capsule. 30 vegetable capsules. Made in Sarthe.
What is Vit'all+ Fisetin?
Fisetin is a polyphenolic flavonoid naturally present in many fruits and vegetables: strawberries, apples, grapes, persimmons, mangoes, cucumbers, and onions. However, dietary concentrations remain very low: you would need to consume more than 600 g of strawberries per day to reach 100 mg of fisetin. It belongs to the flavonol family, similar to quercetin and luteolin, with which it shares antioxidant properties, but from which it stands out due to its unique ability to cross the blood-brain barrier. Fisetin is at the heart of current research into cellular senescence and longevity. The Vit'all+ extract comes from the bark of the smoke tree (Cotinus coggygria), the natural source most concentrated in fisetin. The extraction process uses only an aqueous solvent, ensuring an ultra-pure extract without chemical solvent residues. Each capsule provides 100 mg of fisetin (via 125 mg of extract standardized to 80%). Vegetable capsule based on pine fibers (origin: France). Made in Sarthe by Vit'all+, a French family business since 1987.
Why use Vit'all+ Fisetin?
- 100 mg of fisetin per capsule: dosage corresponding to the protocols of reference studies on cellular senescence
- Extract standardized to 80% fisetin: guaranteed purity and concentration, equivalent to more than 600 g of strawberries per capsule
- Exclusive aqueous extraction: process without chemical solvents, ultra-pure and environmentally friendly extract
- Source: smoke tree (Cotinus coggygria): the plant source naturally most concentrated in fisetin
- Pine fiber vegetable capsule: 100% plant-based, origin: France
- Made in Sarthe: French production by Vit'all+, a family business since 1987
Fisetin: flavonoid of cellular longevity
A flavonol with documented senolytic properties
Fisetin has been studied since the 2000s for its antioxidant and neuroprotective properties. Recent research focuses on its senolytic properties: the ability to selectively eliminate senescent cells, those aging cells that accumulate with age, secrete pro-inflammatory factors (SASP), and alter surrounding tissues. A study published in EBioMedicine (2018) showed that fisetin is the most potent flavonoid among 10 candidates tested for its senolytic properties. These properties fall under basic and preclinical research; human clinical studies are ongoing. This is not a health claim authorized in Europe.
Neuroprotection and the blood-brain barrier
Fisetin is one of the few flavonoids capable of crossing the blood-brain barrier, giving it direct access to brain tissue. Preclinical studies have documented its neuroprotective effects on hippocampal neurons, its support for long-term memory via activation of the ERK/CREB pathway, and its potential in models of neurodegenerative diseases. These data are preclinical.
Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory
Like other flavonoids, fisetin exerts antioxidant activity by neutralizing free radicals and modulating pro-inflammatory signaling pathways (NF-kB, mTOR). Its chemical structure, specifically the absence of the 3'-hydroxyl group present in quercetin, gives it a slightly higher oral bioavailability than that of quercetin.
