Hair and nails are composed of over 85% keratin, a sulfur-rich fibrous protein. Sulfur amino acids (L-cystine, L-methionine) are the building blocks of keratin: their oral intake directly supports keratin biosynthesis in hair bulbs and nail matrices. Zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal hair and normal nails, and biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal hair (official EFSA claims). Nettle, rich in plant silica and iron, nourishes the scalp and supports growth. Ginkgo biloba improves microcirculation in the scalp. The recommended course is at least 3 months, the duration of a complete hair growth cycle.
