Why use Urucum Vit'all+ for tanning?
Vit'all+ Urucum is a food supplement that prepares and protects the skin for sun exposure. It's also ideal for people who work outdoors!
The seeds of annatto fruits are very rich in beta-carotene, and more specifically in bixin. They also contain a high proportion of selenium and zinc, which are antioxidants.
Used since pre-Inca times, Urucum, Roucou or Roucouyer seeds are known to be 100 times richer in carotenoids than carrots.
Urucum is used as:
- A tanning accelerator because, thanks to its high Bixine content, it stimulates the production of melanin (the pigment responsible for tanning). It also prepares the skin before sun exposure! It accelerates tanning during exposure and prolongs it afterwards.
- A skin protector: as annatto is very rich in carotenoids, these help limit oxidative stress caused by UV rays. The antioxidants it contains help effectively combat premature aging of skin cells.
