Why use Dr. Valnet's Roman Chamomile Essential Oil?
Soothing. Relaxing. Digestive.
Description
As its name suggests, it was used in Rome in the 16th century for its medicinal properties. Apothecaries prescribed the flowers as an infusion for better digestion and to soothe skin irritations.
The flower resembles a golden sun, and its apple and sage fragrance is remarkable with its fresh and sweet notes.
Egyptians used it for its effectiveness against fevers. Noble chamomile essential oil is rebalancing; it calms excitement, relaxes, and relieves.
How to use Dr. Valnet's Roman Chamomile Essential Oil?
Instructions for use
Oral use: on the advice of a specialist doctor
On the skin:
It can be used pure, after a test, in a localized application of 1 to 2 drops. On the solar plexus, temples, behind the ears, spine, and soles of the feet. Or dilute it to 40% in a mild vegetable oil, such as Calendula oil, to soothe all tensions and stiffness.
It can be used in a bath with Lavender. It will be effective in reducing age spots.
In diffusion:
It is, of course, very pleasant to diffuse! Alone or in combination… For a relaxing atmosphere. But given its price, it is recommended to inhale a few drops on a handkerchief or from the bottle.
IMPORTANT: Observe the instructions for use, precautions, and dosages. Perform a skin test on the crease of the elbow to avoid any possible risk of allergy. Apply one drop and wait 24 hours for any skin reaction or otherwise. Be careful with eyes!
For any therapeutic use of essential oils or internal use, use during pregnancy, during breastfeeding, for young children, consult a specialist doctor.
It is recommended to maintain a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Keep out of reach of children. This product is not a medicine.

(Asteraceae family)
Some botanical notions
Native to Southern and Western Europe (Portugal, Spain, France, Great Britain, Ireland) and North Africa (Algeria, Morocco), Roman chamomile is now cultivated on a large scale in temperate regions, particularly in Anjou where siliceous soils are suitable for it.
Also called noble chamomile, this delicate white flower with a yellow heart, very fragrant, is one of the most appreciated medicinal plants. It is recognized by the WHO, ESCOP, and the European Pharmacopoeia.
A bit of history….
A symbol of the sun, Roman chamomile was very popular in antiquity.
Dedicated to the Egyptian god Ra for its alleged healing properties, it was used to embalm the dead, including Pharaoh Ramses II.
The Greeks, for their part, used it to promote sleep and relaxation. Its name comes from the Greek "khamaimelon" (apple that grows on the ground).
In the Middle Ages, chamomile was often spread during public celebrations because of the subtle fragrance it distilled.
