FAQ
What is the difference between tropical basil and exotic basil?
Two names for the same EO: Ocimum basilicum ct methylchavicol. Always check the chemotype on the label.
Can tropical basil and wintergreen be combined in a massage synergy?
Yes, these two EOs are frequently associated in back massage synergies. Dilute both in the same carrier oil.
Does tropical basil have the same profile as culinary basil?
No. Culinary basil generally has a linalool or eugenol profile. The ct methylchavicol has a radically different profile, very rich in estragole, with a pronounced aniseed aroma.
