Organic Cassia Cinnamon Essential Oil
Looking for an essential oil with a warm, intense spicy scent, rich in cinnamaldehyde, to be incorporated in very small quantities into aromatic diffusion synergies and diluted massage? The Organic Cassia Cinnamon EO from Herbes et Traditions (Cinnamomum cassia) is extracted from the bark of Chinese cinnamon. Dominated by cinnamaldehyde (80-95%), it possesses one of the most intense and spicy scents in the world of EOs. 10ml. Ecocert organic certified. Use in very small quantities.
Aromatic and cosmetic profile
- Very rich in cinnamaldehyde (80-95%): an aromatic aldehyde with a very intense warm and sweet spicy scent, one of the most powerful in the aromatic pharmacopoeia.
- Iconic warm-spicy scent: a warm, sweet, and enveloping cinnamon note. When diffused in tiny amounts, it creates a comforting winter atmosphere.
- Dermocaustic: use in tiny doses only: cinnamaldehyde is a powerful skin irritant. Never apply without high dilution.
- 10ml: Ecocert Organic. Herbes et Traditions.

FAQ
What is the difference between cassia cinnamon and Ceylon cinnamon?
Ceylon cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum, bark) also contains cinnamaldehyde but at lower levels (55-75%) and has a more complex profile. Cassia cinnamon (Cinnamomum cassia) is more concentrated in cinnamaldehyde (80-95%) and therefore more powerful and more irritating. Both are dermocaustic.
Can cassia cinnamon be diffused at home?
Yes, provided you use only 1 to 2 drops maximum per diffusion session, combined with other gentler EOs (orange, spruce). Never diffuse pure or in the presence of young children or animals.
Can cassia cinnamon be used on the skin?
Only when highly diluted (max 0.2-0.5% in a carrier oil) and never on the face. Its irritant and allergenic potential is high. Systematically test on a small area before any application.
