The vulvar mucosa has a natural acidic pH of 3.8 to 4.5 — an environment that protects against the proliferation of pathogens. Most conventional soaps and shower gels have an alkaline pH (7-9) that disrupts this balance. The Coslys intimate gel is formulated at pH 5.5 so as not to unbalance the Döderlein flora (dominant Lactobacilli). The sulfate-free cleansing base (Polyglyceryl-4 caprate + Sodium cocoyl glutamate, two gentle non-ionic and anionic plant-based surfactants) cleanses without stripping the hydrolipidic film.
