Organic Ginger Essential Oil
Are you looking for a warm-spicy and earthy essential oil, rich in zingiberene and camphene, with the recognizable and warm fragrance of fresh ginger, for warming massage aromatic synergies and winter diffusion? The Organic Ginger EO from Herbes et Traditions (Zingiber officinale, rhizome) is distilled from the fresh ginger rhizome. Its dominant sesquiterpene profile (zingiberene 30-40%, ar-curcumene) gives it an earthy-fresh spicy fragrance very distinct from dried or powdered ginger. 5ml. Ecocert organic certified.
Aromatic and cosmetic profile
- Rich in zingiberene (30-40%): dominant sesquiterpene specific to ginger, responsible for its characteristic earthy-spicy fragrance.
- Warm-spicy and earthy fragrance: fresh, pungent, and warm, evocative of the fresh ginger rhizome. Highly appreciated in winter diffusion and in spicy-citrus aromatic synergies.
- Warming EO for massage: used in diluted warming massage preparations for its natural thermal effect on the skin (sensation of heat from zingerone and phenolic compounds).

FAQ
Does ginger EO smell like ginger powder?
No, fresh ginger EO (rhizome) has a fresher, earthier, and more complex fragrance than powder. Dried ginger powder has lost a large part of its volatile compounds. The EO is distilled from the fresh rhizome, preserving the entire original aromatic profile.
Can it be used in cooking?
Yes, 1 drop in a culinary preparation (hot tea, marinade, dessert) for a fresh and intense ginger note. Much more concentrated than fresh ginger: 1 drop = approximately 30g of fresh rhizome.
Which EOs pair well with ginger in diffusion?
Lemon, sweet orange, and bergamot for citrus-spice accords. Cinnamon and cardamom for warm oriental accords. Peppermint for a very tonic fresh-spice synergy.
