Organic Scots Pine Essential Oil

Looking for a fresh and tonic coniferous essential oil, rich in alpha-pinene and beta-pinene, with a woody-resinous scent of Nordic pine forests, for invigorating diffusions and energizing cosmetic massage preparations? The Organic Scots Pine Essential Oil from Herbes et Traditions (Pinus sylvestris) is distilled from the needles and twigs of the common pine. With 30-50% alpha-pinene and 15-25% beta-pinene, it releases a very characteristic fresh and tonic woody-resinous fragrance. 10ml. Ecocert organic certified.

Aromatic and cosmetic profile

  • Rich in alpha-pinene (30-50%) and beta-pinene (15-25%): dominant monoterpenes, the aromatic signature of all pines, responsible for the fresh and tonic woody-resinous fragrance.
  • Fresh and tonic woody-resinous fragrance: invigorating, clean, evocative of pine forests. Highly appreciated in diffusion for a dynamizing atmosphere in the morning or during the day.
  • Energizing cosmetic care: used in body massage preparations and tonic baths for its invigorating and penetrating scent.
  • 10ml: Organic Ecocert. Herbes et Traditions.

FAQ

What is the difference between Scots pine and black spruce in diffusion?
Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris) is more resinous and Mediterranean. Black spruce (Picea mariana) is more boreal-woody thanks to its bornyl acetate. Both are excellent in coniferous diffusion and complement each other perfectly for a complete forest accord.

Can Scots pine irritate the respiratory tract in diffusion?
In moderate quantity (4-6 drops, 20-30 minutes), it is well tolerated. Pine monoterpenes can be irritating in prolonged diffusion or at high doses in a confined space. Always diffuse in a well-ventilated space.

Where does the Scots pine used for the EO come from?
Mainly from Eastern Europe (Russia, Poland, Scandinavia) where the Pinus sylvestris forests are the most extensive. France (Landes) also produces pine, with a slightly different biochemical profile.
