How do the main active ingredients in Pine Syrup work?

Echinacea (Echinacea purpurea, 2203mg/day) stimulates macrophage and NK lymphocyte activity, strengthening the innate immune response during ENT infections. Thyme (Thymus vulgaris, 1377mg/day) contains thymol and carvacrol, phenols with expectorant properties that thin bronchial mucus and facilitate its clearance. Propolis (880mg/day, from bees) contains bioflavonoids (chrysin, pinocembrin, CAPE) with natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Eucalyptus essential oil (1,8-cineole or eucalyptol) activates nasal cold receptors, creating a sensation of clear airways. Blackcurrant (Ribes nigrum) is rich in vitamin C and immunostimulant anthocyanins. Maltitol is a polyol with a low glycemic index (GI 35) — it does not cause significant hyperglycemia but can have a laxative effect in excess. Contains 10% alcohol by volume (used for the extraction of plant actives).
