Organic Clove Bud Essential Oil

Looking for the essential oil most concentrated in eugenol, with a powerful, characteristic spicy-clove scent, for winter aromatic diffusion synergies and highly diluted, targeted cosmetic preparations? Herbes et Traditions Organic Clove Bud EO (Syzygium aromaticum, flower buds) is distilled from dried cloves. Dominated by eugenol (70-85%), a powerful dermocaustic monoterpene phenol, it is one of the most active yet also most restrictive essential oils in aromatherapy. 10ml. Ecocert organic certified.

Aromatic and cosmetic profile

  • Very rich in eugenol (70-85%): dominant aromatic phenol, responsible for the intense spicy-clove scent and the powerful dermocaustic nature of this EO.
  • Warm and intense spicy-clove scent: one of the most powerful and recognizable scents in aromatherapy. Essential for winter synergies.
  • Highly diluted use mandatory: dermocaustic phenol — never apply without high dilution (max 0.5% on the skin).
  • 10ml: Organic Ecocert. Herbes et Traditions.

FAQ

Is Clove Bud EO the same as Clove Leaf EO?
No. Bud (clove) EO is distilled from dried flower buds, is more expensive and more aromatic. Leaf EO is more common and cheaper, with a similar but less refined eugenol profile. Both are dermocaustic and are used with the same precautions.

Is the eugenol in Clove EO the same as that in dental care?
Yes, eugenol is used in dentistry for its anesthetic and antiseptic properties. Clove EO is one of the few whose oral application (highly diluted, occasional) is sometimes mentioned in herbal medicine. However, this requires professional advice.

Can Clove EO be used in cooking?
At a maximum of 1 drop in a culinary preparation (gingerbread, mulled wine, marinade). Extremely high concentration: 1 drop = 30 to 50 whole cloves.
