Key active ingredients for vision

Lutein and Zeaxanthin: the carotenoids of the macula

Lutein and Zeaxanthin are the only carotenoids present in the macula, the central area of the retina responsible for detail and color vision. They form the macular pigment, which filters blue light and protects photoreceptors against photo-induced oxidative stress. The body cannot synthesize them and must obtain them through diet or supplementation.

Finnish Bilberry: the best source of anthocyanins

Wild Finnish Bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus) is one of the most concentrated sources of anthocyanins, the blue-violet pigments with antioxidant and vasculoprotective properties. The extract used (100:1 ratio, 32% anthocyanins) is ultra-concentrated, standardized for anthocyanin content, and traced back to its Finnish origin.
